Update: Reliable police sources say there does not appear to be a connection to the couple murdered on Hathaway Street in the early morning hours of Saturday and the street gang MS-13.  There was speculation because of possible ties in the past, but it seems it is unfounded. Police continue to run down many leads and eliminating possible suspects is part of the process. Providence Police are investigating a professional hit carried out early Saturday morning in Providence, where a gunman got into a car and executed the driver and passenger. The couple was killed, leaving four children and plenty of questions on motive. Who lured Brian Fernandez to that location? Fernandez felt comfortable enough to meet and allow the shooter into the back of his vehicle. His fiancé, Linah, was in her pajamas in the passenger seat and sources say it was common for the couple to ride around together at night.  The gunman executed the couple and left with the cellphone of the driver.
