Nurses exit crisis

Governor Dan McKee struck a firm tone on his October 1, vaccine mandate on frontline workers but it seems to be backfiring on him. Nurses are resigning ahead of the deadline next Friday leaving the state in a crisis situation with healthcare. McKee tried to back off his deadline but it seems a little late. Frontline workers have been protesting for months over the vaccine mandate and requesting a meeting with Governor McKee and Dr. Scott, but no meeting was granted. The state now shifts to crisis-mode with a shortage of frontline workers. For months nurses have complained of not being given an opportunity to vent their frustrations or fears regarding the vaccine. Sources say nurses are resigning in droves and ER wait times could exceed ten hours on average.
