The Saturday Night murder of Manny Torres Plaza by Luis Lopez has set off finger pointing and accusations of “snitching” by locals in Central Falls. Rumors are flying and DEPETRO.com is working to confirm many accusations from the family of the victim.  Sources in Central Falls claim the woman who knew both men was sent a text message from Lopez with a picture of guns and a caption stating, ” I will kill you with these guns.” Friends of the woman in the middle claim she showed the text to police. Despite what Lopez claimed, there is no evidence to suggest there was any relationship between Manny and the woman. Police deny there was any type of restraining order.  Some of the chatter in CF was that Lopez murdered Plaza “because Manny went to the police on him.” WPRI CH 12 reported the mother of Plaza contacted Lopez months ago begging him to leave her son alone. Lopez was released from prison this year and was described as “very unsocial” by co-workers.
