Police are searching for gang member Samuel Medina for the murder of Darnell Whitford Friday night on Dexter Street in Providence. Medina was in a car with three other gang members at the corner of Dexter and Waldo in Providence Friday night when they rolled up on Whitford and a friend. Words were exchanged and Medina is believed to have shot Whitford at close range. Whitford was pronounced dead at Habro a short time later. Medina is a known gang member who enjoys posting pictures with his glock. Medina is on the run (maybe in Warwick) and considered armed and dangerous. There are three other gang members in the car and all are at-large.
