Warwick Police received a call around 0600 this morning which indicated that there was a subject in a residence on Andover St that was armed and potentially a harm to himself and others in the home.

Patrol responded and set up a perimeter.  When police were initially unable to make contact with the occupant,  they deployed tactical units including members of the SWAT team and Crisis Negotiator Unit.  Within a short time,  the occupant was alerted to police presence and came out without incident.

It was determined to be a false call.  Police will continue to investigate the matter.
