Cumberland Police tell DePetro.com that the investigation into the murder of Courtney and Eric Huard is still ” weeks away, most likely into August.” The couple were found shot to death in their Cumberland Rhode Island home on the morning of Wednesday June 22, 2022, with their three children in the house on Birchwood drive. Police say they are waiting on “lab results testing” as part of the investigation and would not confirm if anyone is considered a suspect. There was a joint wake and funeral held for the couple, which drew speculation that perhaps the couple was shot and killed together by a third party. Police will not comment on the weapon used, owner of the weapon, or what fingerprints were found on the weapon. Cumberland Police have not deemed this a murder/suicide and are still investigating the murder of Eric and Courtney Huard.
