Governor McKee heads out on vacation to try and stop the bleeding of a campaign in free-fall. McKee is suffering from an 18-point drop in the polls, decided to pull out of a scheduled debate and is the subject of an FBI probe. It is hard to believe McKee took office just last March when he was given the gift of becoming the Governor, however things have not worked out as planned. Although McKee had a good first quarter of raising money, it could become more difficult if things don’t improve. McKee got another gift when Seth Magaziner left the race to run for congress, however the McKee campaign has not capitalized on the narrower field. McKee is not the only one with money trouble as the campaign of Nellie Gorbea has seemingly hit the wall with fundraising. Gorbea was forced to release an “internal poll” to try and get the donations back flowing her way.
