Cicilline calls groups shouting an attack

Well it is refreshing to actually see him acknowledge the city where he was Mayor for eight years. Congressman David Cicilline, who never comments on events in Rhode Island, actually issued a statement on the shouting match between a group of communist and neo-Nazi’s in Providence. No one was injured, stabbed, shot, arrested and no property was damaged, yet Cicilline referred to the five minute exchange between the two groups as “an attack.” The violence in the city has been from BLM protests and gang shootings. An attack is what happened to the female motorist riding with children in the car when she was attacked by ATV riders in Providence last summer. There was no statement from the congressman on that. Nor was there a statement from Cicilline on the still unsolved murder of Miya Brophy-Baermann last August who was shot an killed 6 blocks from the communist bookstore. Cicilline was silent and has never commented on the June 2020 Black Lives Matter Providence riot where 90 people were arrested, stores were destroyed and a police cruiser was set on fire. Cicilline has never condemned the riot or destruction. Cicilline never condemned when BLM terrorized and assaulted families on Federal Hill while protesting. But Monday night, a small group of local communist got together on Camp street to celebrate the Communist Russian invasion of Ukraine when a group known as 131 showed up outside on the sidewalk. They screamed and yelled for three minutes and banged on the windows. There were around 12 to 15 of this neo-Nazi group wearing masks and waving a Nazi flag. The situation turned into the communist yelling at the 131 members outside. No windows were broken and the 131 members quietly left at the first sign of a police car. The visual of the Nazi flag is disgraceful and alarming but it was not an attack. An attack is what is happening to the people of Ukraine. Governor McKee, who has never mentioned the string of gang-related murders in Providence, encouraged people to call the police despite the fact the communist are members of Defund the Police, plus there was no crime. The group calling itself 131 is despicable and cowards for wearing masks and waving a Nazi flag but it was aimed at communist celebrating a land invasion of a free country by communist Russia.
