The Woonsocket Police investigation into the suspicious death of 29-year-old Gabriela Vallejo led to her live-in boyfriend, William Santiago Ramos (DOB: 06/17/1996), residing at 104 Sayles Street. Vallejo, who was several months pregnant, suffered multiple stab wounds to her neck.
Following the issuance of a BOLO alert, officers located Ramos at approximately 7:00 PM in River Island Park. A foot pursuit ensued, during which Ramos swam across the Blackstone River. He was subsequently apprehended behind residential properties on Front Street.
Following interviews by detectives, Ramos was charged with:
- Domestic Murder
- Sex Offender Failure to Notify of Change of Address
- Obstructing an Officer in the Execution of Duty
