Late Friday night July 5, police were called out to 171 Stubtown rd in Hopkinton RI for a report of a domestic situation. After a two-hour armed standoff, police found Stephanie Francis dead inside the home of a gunshot wound from her husband Joseph Francis. The children of the couple had escaped and Joe Francis was on the run armed with a rifle in a black SUV. He disappeared but police found him Saturday morning resulting in a wild car chase with his car rolling over. Francis took off into the woods of Exeter, only to be found dead in his vehicle the woods. Story is developing.
