Francis entered the home by key Friday night and went straight to the bedroom of his estranged wife Stephanie. An argument ensued and it is believed Francis used a shotgun to kill his wife in front of their two children and a friend in the hallway. The children called 911 but it was unknown Francis escaped out of the home. On Saturday morning, Westerly police picked up his vehicle but kept losing him as he hit speeds above 120 mph.
