Hold everything. Sources out of Cranston say the head of the Division of Motor Vehicles, Walter “Bud” Craddock, is fighting to hold onto his job and this story may have a happy ending. Governor McKee ordered a State Police investigation after a building partly owned by Craddock was raided for “Happy Ending massages” although Craddock denied any knowledge of wrongdoing. Sources at the DMV say Craddock feels stronger about his ability to ride out any storm connected to the investigation and feels inclined to stay. Craddock has not been charged with a crime and can point to his success in improving things at the DMV during COVID ( which was a challenge).
