Exclusive: Police under fire for car chase arrest

Cue the BLM protests. On Thursday night July 8, two fifteen-year-olds and a sixteen-year-old lead police on a six hour car chase through all parts of the city of Providence driving a BMW convertible with two rifles ( which turned out to be BB guns). The teens were shooting at people and pointing the guns at people including police. At different times, Providence Police were joined in the pursuit by state police and Pawtucket police. At 1:AM on Friday morning July 9, the chase came to an end at Salmon street and King street in Manton heights. According to sources familiar with the investigation, two of the teens complied and surrendered from the vehicle but one would not. Sources say  young Providence Police officers who had been in pursuit were “amped up” and forcibly removed the third teen from the BMW. Sources say the Attorney General’s office has been working with police internal affairs and charges are expected against two Providence officers. The arrest report claimed the suspect suffered “facial lacerations” due to the crash however that is being disputed. Apparently, footage obtained from the scene depicts a possible violent arrest of one of the teens. It should be noted during the six hour chase that police had no way to determine if the weapons were shotguns or BB guns, and the teens ( one white, one black, one Latino)  played a game of cat and mouse all over the city pointing the weapons at people and firing a number of times.
