First, the Columbus statue, then came removing Providence Plantations and now the Progressive Left wants to end Rhode Island celebrating Victory over Japan Day. Rhode Island remains the only state to grab the 3-day weekend in August to celebrate the end of World War II. Progressives who hate America want to end the holiday to deny history and the United States saving the world. This is the same crowd that wants to empty the prisons, Defund the Police and Pay Slave Reparations.  Rhode Island should continue to proudly celebrate VJ Day.
