 John DePetro communicated with the daughter of Kimberly Pieranunzi of Woonsocket who was shot and killed by her ex-boyfriend Sean Rivera, who also killed her uncle Donald Roderick Jr. Below are exact quotes the daughter of Kimberly wanted people to know. We are not using her name or photo, just referring to her as daughter of Kim. “All I want is for people to know that my mom and her boyfriend (Donald) were great people, and they meant everything to me. I believe Sean Rivera did this because I wouldn’t change my mind about the breakup. I didn’t want to be with him anymore and he couldn’t accept it. We had broken up about a week prior; he had been sad about it, I figured it was normal we were both sad it wasn’t working out, but we co-existed in the house. He was supposed to move in with his dad, and we still tried to maintain casual conversation, and I reminded him that we can still be friends, I just didn’t want this relationship anymore. He was still small talking with my mom and uncle, was always very respectful to them. Monday night it felt really sudden- he closed the door as we usually did to have serious conversations, since he didn’t like the idea of the rest of the house hearing our problems. But he locked it- he tried to ask for a hug and when I said no, he started to force himself onto me. I shoved him back and yelled, but that’s when he pulled out the gun, he held it to my face, and he told me he was going to kill me. He just snapped, no signs or anything being like this, never violent towards me. After he raped me, I didn’t run to my mom’s room- I walked, and it wasn’t going to tell her about the sexual assault. She didn’t even know I was raped. It was to warn her that he had a gun and was going to shoot us. He was trailing behind me- I didn’t run from him to my mom’s room he was watching me and got distracted for just a second to pet the cat.  I had to act like everything was normal. He was distracted by my cat and went down to pet him- so then I rushed to my mom’s door, and I locked it. I told my mom “He has a gun. Call the police” over and over- but she was just in so much shock… he walked up to the door, knocking as if nothing was wrong and said, “is everything alright in there? My mom had her phone pressed to her ear and she unlocked it… he then barged his way into the room and that’s when he shot her. Only one bullet hit, but he fired 5 times. I know the shots had to be meant for me, but my mom and God protected me. I don’t know how he got the gun or what happened. He was not in a gang or into drugs. I was out of the house after my mom was shot and had no idea about Don and Sean until I got to the police station. I want people to know right now I am safe and being cared for. I just lost everything.”
