19-year-old murder victim in Central Falls shooting

Police had to be called in from Pawtucket, Cumberland and Lincoln to assist controlling the crowd. The Mayor of Central Falls does not promise the shooter will be caught or held accountable.

CENTRAL FALLS, RI — The Central Falls Police Department is investigating a fatal
shooting that occurred on Saturday, November 27th, at approximately 11:00 p.m.
Officers were dispatched to the area of 191 Washington Street after receiving reports of
shots being fired. Upon arrival, officers located a 19-year-old male and a 19-year-old
female suffering from gunshot wounds. Medical personnel responded to the scene. The
male victim was transported to Rhode Island Hospital, where he remains being treated
for his injuries. The 19-year-old female was pronounced deceased on the scene.
Preliminary information indicates that the shooting appears to have been targeted.
Detectives are actively investigating to determine the circumstances that led to this
tragedy.
The Central Falls Police Department is urging anyone with information to come forward
and contact the Central Falls Police Department at 401-727-7411.  We also ask the
community to keep the victim’s family in their thoughts as we work diligently to identify
those responsible.
