The Central Falls Police continue the investigation into the death of Erica Bader, the twenty-four-year-old girl found dead in a ditch in Pawtucket. Investigators traced her back to living on Central Street in Central Falls, six people have been arrested in what has been described as squalor and filth conditions. A neighbor recalls encountering Erica crawling into the dumpster and looking for food scrapes when left alone. Sources close to the investigation describe Erica as skin and many broken bones, 5’9 but weighing less than 85 pounds. Friends and neighbors describe a slave type environment where Erica was forced to do chores and was traded out for sex to men with drugs from Kennedy Plaza in Providence. As many as 10 to 12 adults lived in the two-bedroom second floor apartment, with 6 dogs, 34 cats and one bathroom. Sources claim Erica was not allowed to use the bathroom, but instead forced to wear a diaper and sleep on the floor. Sources claim Erica was frequently beaten if refusing sex with guests or beaten if she was caught stealing cat food or dog food. No one has been charged with murder, but six people charged for failure to report a death.
