There is growing speculation of an investigation into Providence State Representative Enrique Sanchez regarding his involvement encouraging violence towards ICE agents and attempting to impede them from executing actions in Providence, using city resources. Sources claim Sanchez has instructed police (that patrol his district) along with housing, education, fire and public works that he is to be notified of any ICE activity. Sanchez has also reportedly helped establish a network of individuals who share information regarding ICE activity, and who act as lookouts and also “show up” if there is ICE activity to create a disturbance and mob of intimidation.
