Airport sources at TF Green tell DePetro.com. the call that shutdown the airport on Friday came from the same phone number that shutdown Providence last month. How is this possible? How did the airport and state police not have that type of intelligence?  The airport was CLOSED on Friday, and it was a fake call from the same number? Fooled twice? Airport sources say the caller from an international number claimed there was someone in the airport garage with an AK and they had planted pipe bombs, which was the same fake claim that shutdown Providence in early August. What was different? On Thursday, sources say the airport did deal with disgruntled individual and initially thought the Friday call might be connected but it was not. The airport was closed, and flights rerouted on Friday. Story is still developing.
