Who cares the state is a mess? In a weekend interview on ch6 Governor Gina Raimondo hints that she is “not running for President next year” but open to the idea in 2024.
Raimondo, the second least popular Governor in the country, appears delusional that she has turned Rhode Island into a success story and that her job seems almost done. Three of the top four cities in Rhode Island are teetering on bankruptcy and the state budget is over $10 billion dollars. Raimondo also says the people ” are with her but may not like her.”
Under Raimondo the state education system is worse and she is on her second education commish who seems to have been fooled into taking the job. Raimondo has also further cemented her legacy by allowing the unions to take over the state and push reform out the window. Under Gina Raimondo, taxes continue to rise while services get worse and worse. Graduates of local colleges don’t even pretend to look for a career locally and instead take the train up to Boston. The Wall Street Journal and Providence Journal have both turned on “the gov” after years of singing her praises.
The fact is Raimondo simply does not even care anymore of attempting to move the state forward but instead just wants to cultivate allies in the Democrat party to move HER political career forward. Raimondo would rather try to spin the facts instead of making real progress. President Raimondo? She would not even win her home state. Listen to the John DePetro Radio Show.
