The Rhode Island Progressive Democrat Governor Gina Raimondo has decided to leave the dead Statehouse tree up as yet another insult to the people of the most Catholic state in the country. If it were any other religion, Governor Raimondo would drop everything and jump into action to rectify what is embarrassing to all who celebrate Christmas. If the Christmas tree were from another country( an illegal tree) or if the tree was from a wealthy donor, the Governor would put her top staff assigned to care for it.

Would you put out stale food to serve to your guests on a holiday? Would you serve children sour milk? By displaying a dead Christmas Tree, Raimondo is showing her contempt to all who celebrate Christmas with a “wink” to her supporters on the Left. The Governor who jets around the country raising $3 million dollars for her campaign cannot even provide the people of the state with a decent tree at Christmas.
Raimondo, the progressive warrior of the ALT-Left, has had a contentious relationship with the Catholic church since her campaign for Governor. In September of 2014, Raimondo held a rally inside Planned Parenthood where she vowed to make Rhode Island the most “abortion friendly” state in the union. Her actions were condemned by the Bishop and a plaque honoring her was removed from the wall at her Catholic high school La Salle academy. When she was elected, she snubbed inviting the Bishop to the inauguration by sending an email invite the day before. Last month, in an attempt to make a political statement, the Governor unveiled a blue Statehouse Christmas tree to send a message that Rhode Island was a “blue state.”The tree has died more than a week before Christmas day, and Raimondo seems ready to throw it by the curb outside the Statehouse on Smith Hill. By disrespecting Christmas, Raimondo is not much different than former Governor Chafee who refused to call it a “Christmas Tree” and insisted it was just a “holiday tree.”
Raimondo is one of the leaders of the Progressive Left who mock religion and go out of their way to insult American traditions. The Raimondo crowd is composed of Ivy league, East Side elitist and atheist who are ashamed of the American flag, don’t respect the military and embrace the Progressive agenda.
