Operation Dollar Bill continues Tuesday, October 7

U.S. Attorney Corrente says things continue to "move along" into the investigation into corruption on Smith Hill. As of today, there is no one under arrest or under indictment. Celona and Martineau are in prison and Urciuoli is headed there soon. But there remain many unanswered questions.

Where do things stand with Beacon Mutual Insurance? Money was flying out of there with strong union connections. What will happen with Bill Irons? If CVS is in the clear, why do they have Jeff Pine in court everyday? What about Senate President Joe Montalbano? Alves? Daponte? Tom Lynch?

The FBI, U.S. Department of Labor and Rhode Island State Police have 20 people working the investigation. Where does it all lead?

Look who crawled out from under his rock,( this has nothing to do with Matt Thomas). As the investigation of Beacon Mutual Insurance continues, the former host of "The Real Deal" comes out of hiding with the cowardly leadership of Council 94. The 8/3/07 story in the Projo said the FBI and the U.S. Attorney were looking at some of Beacons political practices.

According to the 8/3/07 DBR report, Cornerstone Communications was paid $720,000, including $93,000, that was not adequately supported. Checkmate Consulting was paid $11,000. Updates coming soon on the Beacon investigation. Council 94 leadership continues their selfish fight with the Governor over healthcare cost.
